Emile Huizing
Emile Huizing (1960) graduated from the Vrije University of Amsterdam in management economics. As a trainee and account manager for business clients he learned the art of business banking. After a 4 year interval as advisor in the Institute for Medium and Small Businesses he stepped over to HBH accountants in 1996. There he and Eppo Horlings formed a team for 12 years in a broad advisory field. Together they advised the government, multinationals and owner managed companies in a multitude of financial and strategic questions.
At the beginning of 2008 Emile successfully completed the post-doctoral training for legal expert at the University of Leiden.
In 2011 Emile graduated as a certified investment manager.
At Horatio Emile is occupied as senior advisor in a broad range of specialisations.
With his sharp analyses in the area of business damages and advising in cases of loss compensation (rightful government action), he has by now gained a very good reputation in the field of litigation support. He is seasoned as a supervisor of business take-overs and investigations of a financial kind, whether it concerns the improvement of administration or the preparation of (departmental) government policy. As an interim manager he can hold his own.
“Through my long years of wide and in depth experience in the front line of enterprise, the leading principles of my advise are always ' realism' and 'possibilities'. We always ask ourselves what would be possible rationally for a business. We begin with the facts but we consider them in the relevant context and from all possible perspectives so that the signals of, for example, a break in trend are not missed. That is not only based on the experience of Eppo and myself but the Horatio team of specialists in various disciplines. As far as that is concerned we are small enough to know each other well and to know what we can expect of each other and on the other hand large enough to achieve a lot.
We look at each case, whether we act for government, for a multinational, for an entrepreneur or as impartial experts in a court case from different, relevant viewpoints. In this, the rational basis, combined with a sharp eye for the facts and circumstances, always form the materials of our conclusions.
